<div>Somos a Cuida d'Bo, uma ONG cujo objetivo é garantir que todas as mulheres em Cabo Verde tenham acesso a cuidados de saúde essenciais e educação em saúde.

<div>Milhares de mulheres em Cabo Verde nunca consultaram um ginecologista ou fizeram rastreio do cancro da mama. A falta de conhecimento, algumas crenças culturais , a falta de infraestrutura para certos tratamentos e a ausência de condições gerais para um bom sistema de prevenção levam a diagnósticos de cancro da mama muito tardios.

<div>Uma experiência de voluntariado com o objetivo de contribuir para a sensibilização sobre o cancro da mama entre mulheres em comunidades desfavorecidas na ilha de São Vicente, levou à criação da Cuida d’Bo ("cuida de ti" em crioulo).

<li>Facilitação do Acesso à Informação: Tornar mais fácil para as mulheres acederem a informações sobre doenças ginecológicas. Educar e sensibilizar para encorajar as mulheres a priorizarem o seu bem-estar;

<li>Fornecimento de Apoio e Recursos: Garantir recursos, orientação e assistência necessários desde o diagnóstico até ao tratamento;
</li>
<li>Advocacia por Políticas de Saúde Inclusivas: Trabalhar para políticas que criem um sistema de saúde inclusivo capaz de fornecer respostas eficientes em todas as fases do diagnóstico de cancro.

<div>We are Cuida d'bô, an NGO dedicated to ensuring that every woman in Cabo Verde has access to essential healthcare and health education.

<div><strong>WHY? </strong>
</div>
<div><br />

<div>Thousands of women in Cabo Verde have never consulted a gynecologist or been screened for breast cancer. The lack of knowledge and cultural beliefs about essential healthcare issues, the missing infrastructure for certain treatments and the overall missing conditions for a good prevention system leads to very late breast cancer diagnosis amongst women in the country

<div>A volunteering experience with the goal of contributing to improving awareness about breast cancer among women in underserved communities in the island of São Vicente, evolved the creation of Cuida d’Bo (“take care of yourself” in Creole).

<li>Facilitating Access to Information: Making it easier for women to access information about gynecological diseases. Educating and raising awareness to encourage women to prioritize their well-being;

<li>Providing Support and Resources: Ensuring necessary resources, guidance, and assistance from diagnosis to treatment;

<li>Advocating for Inclusive Health Policies: Working towards policies that create an inclusive health system capable of providing efficient responses at all stages of cancer diagnosis. In our website you can find all about our methods and approach.

Here some examples of what your donation can do: - 5€: You can cover the cost of materials for our door-to-door breast cancer awareness campaign, reaching 10 women. - 20€: You can cover the cost of a woman’s initial gynecologist appointment and her follow-up consultation. - 50€: You can cover the cost of a woman’s first gynecological consultation, her follow-up appointment and the mammography, cytology, and ultrasound exams.
