CUAWRFC Nationals

Thank you so much for your past support for CUA WRFC, it helped us make it down to Nashville and back to DC with the championship in hand.  We were able to go 4-0 on the weekend, everyone came back in one piece while having had a great time.

Why are we reaching out again?

Out of 163 teams in our division, we've been invited/honored/surprised by USA Rugby to compete in the National Championships.  The Sweet Sixteen & Elite Eight is being held at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.  

Now we just need to figure out how to actually get to the tournament... in two weeks.  We received the confirmed invitation on April 4th.

We assure you that we've been exhausting every option and avenue available to us: We've been working with local restaurants on fundraising events (Chipotle, &Pizza, DC Taphouse, etc.), assisting in the cleanup after the DC Marine Corps Marathon, selling baked goods on campus, formally requesting funding to CUA directly, amongst others.  

In order to make this happen and get down to North Carolina and continue kicking butt and taking names, we need to cover transportation as well as hotel fees:


Hotels: $2000 (sleeping 3-4 to a room)
Rental Cars: $1000 (caravan style)
Total Needed: $3000 


We appreciate your past generosity more than you know and certainly wouldn't be putting this GoFundMe up online if it weren't a financial necessity (we promised you that we're working every angle here).  Anything you can contribute to our National Championship bid would be greatly appreciated.  This is a wonderful opportunity to compete at the highest level against the best competition in the country, send our graduating seniors off with a bang, and cap our season off on a heck of a ride.
