<div>I'm Naz Tokgöz, I'm a current senior at The New School studying Film &amp; Media, and I'm so excited to share my first short film, "Chrysalis" with you all!

<div>I have been working to build this project for a long time now, and this story is one that I'm incredibly passionate in sharing with all of you.
</div>

<div>"Chrysalis" deals with the story of two young women who fall in love in the heart of Istanbul- but more so than anything, the movie aims to show what it means to love in a country like Turkey- who remains as one of the most loving communities I've ever known- and yet is sometimes challenged to extend that love to others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Who has the right, who has the freedom, and the capability, even, to love in this world? In a country like Turkey that is ever-changing, what does it mean to stand firm in your identity while embracing both its beautiful and ugly sides? What does it mean to want to stay, even amongst the challenges? How can one love in a country where you can find a friend in every corner, and yet remains constrained by beliefs that construct boundaries around what forms of love are deemed acceptable?

<div>I have worked on this story for the good length of a year, and it reflects everything I've come to know, love, and even struggle within the city &amp; country I grew up in. I now have the opportunity to work with an incredibly talented cast &amp; crew who are just as passionate as I am to bring this story to life, and I want nothing more than to share it with those whom I love and care about. The movie will be accessible online, and if you request it, a copy will be sent directly to you! I appreciate any support you can give in order to make this movie possible for us!
