Ziv Hagbi Memorial Fund

Our beloved cousin Ziv Hagbi — devoted husband and father, caring son and grandson, one of five incredible brothers — was tragically murdered on October 7 in a terrorist attack. On Saturday, he would have celebrated his 35th birthday. He was buried the following day in the moshav in Israel where he grew up, mourned by all the people who held him dear and whose lives have been torn apart by his shocking death. Ziv was the light of so many lives: he had a smile for everyone, a kind word, a helping hand. He worked hard as an accountant to make a life for his family, but always found time to play with his kids and shower his family with love. On the day of his brutal murder, he was the first one in the office so that he could be home in time for dinner.  Everyone who knew Ziv knew that he cherished his family above all: the love of his life, Natali, his sweetheart from age 17; his young children, each a bright beam of joy and light; his parents and brothers, whose lives were so deeply interwoven with his own; his grandparents, whom he always tried to help in any way he could. Ziv was a mensch in the truest sense of the word—generous, kind, dedicated, a helper, a heart of gold. He made friends wherever he went, and they love him like family. The world is a darker place without him.

Ziv's wife Natali will have to raise their three children—their 7-year-old twins and 4-year-old son—without him. As he was the family breadwinner, we have set up this memorial fund to help support Natali and the children as they try to put the pieces of their lives back together.

The family is still in mourning, and sitting shiva this week. It will take a long time—a lifetime—to absorb this unspeakable, senseless loss.

All funds will go directly to Natali and the children. Ziv's cousins have been given permission by the family to manage this page.
