Ony's Dental Mission Trip

Greeting Family and friends,
As you all know, I am currently a third year dental student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL. I am soliciting funds for a dental mission trip to Guatemala with a private group of student dentists & dentists. This trip will be 5 days in Palin, Guatemala from Nov 22-27 2014 & it's purpose is to fulfill the critical dental needs in
the community of Palin. I'm excited to be on a team of dental students and dentists who share a common goal of providing adequate dental care to the underserved/underrepresented. We will be providing free basic dental services which includes extractions, removal of carious infections, preventative (i.e prophyl and sealants) and other services. Dental education will also be provided to the community on how to take care or improve their oral health.This mission trip would be the first of its kind and hopefully begin a tradition that will continue for years to come.
I am humbly requesting prayers, love and financial assistance as I have high hopes of participating in this cause. My diverse set of professional training and passion will be beneficial to the community I intend to serve. I am striving to raise ~$2000 which includes round-trip airfare, housing, meal services & unforeseen expenses. All donations will be a huge blessing and greatly appreciated. Any excess raised above what i may need for my trip will go into the general mission funds to continue supporting this cause. If you have any further questions about the trip, please don't hesitate to ask. Please help me in my efforts to be of service through dentistry.
