CTRL Music Video

Spende geschützt
Hi everyone!

In response to recent, outrageous political events and to continue to build a movement fueled by the Kavanaugh confirmation, we would love to release a music video that expresses both the frustration and empowerment of women today.

The song is called 'Control' (CTRL) by musical artist  Sarah Walk .  Sarah Walk, a rising musician who recently released her debut album Little Black Book, wrote this song about fighting against those who bind you, make you feel small or insignificant. It expresses the feeling of when you have completely lost yourself to something or someone bigger than you, so much so that you forget who you used to be.

The video for CTRL is a visual representation of women banding together to create a force strong enough to fight against what controls them: men in positions of power. The narrative follows one woman as her morning jog increasingly expands into a  massive pack of diverse women, stampeding through the city. It's unclear where and what they are running towards,  until they come to a halt at a locked door to a conference room. Exhausted but determined, they bust down the door together to reveal a group of high powered white men sitting around a table about to sign paperwork that represents the fate of women. Directed by actor & writer Zoe Travis , this video delivers the message that women will never stop fighting, even if it's down to the final hour.

The content of this video is about strength in numbers and showing the voices of those that are often silenced by those in power. We feel that the funding for this project also reflects strength in numbers. Even if you are only able to contribute a small amount, by many people contributing what they can we will be able to make something that resonates with all of us.

We already have an incredible publicist from Big Hassle Media  who is ready to help make sure this project gets the attention it deserves. We are continuing to add people to our team and are committed to employing a diverse cast and crew to work on this.

This project is ambitious but doable. To get it done adequately and efficiently, it requires more funding than we originally had in mind. Sarah's label has already agreed to contribute to the budget, but we still need additional funding. The scale of this video is pretty large, but we cannot compromise the scale for a lesser impact. This additional budget would contribute to equipment rental, location permits, a police escort, food for cast/crew, post production costs (editing, color correction, publicity), and other production fees.

It is difficult to reach out to others for money. We understand as much as anyone that money is not something that's easy to give. If you are able to contribute to this project,  we would be extremely grateful. If you can help by just passing this along to others who you think would be able to support this, that would mean the world as well.

With the completion of this video, we will send out a final budget report of where your money went and how it helped to make this project happen. We will also send out a private link to the final video before the first premiere, and if you would like, we will add your name to the end of the video credits as a donor.

We are determined to complete this project, but if for any unforeseen circumstances we are unable to complete this, we will refund your donation in full. If there is any extra budget at the end of this project, however small, we will be donating that money directly to the ACLU.

We are witnessing the emergence of a powerful movement, led by women, on behalf of women, and determined to seize power from the male-dominated establishment.  Launched the day after Trump’s inauguration with the Women’s March, this new political force was powered by the #MeToo movement, invigorated by the battle over Kavanaugh and is now poised to put Democrats in control of the House and perhaps the Senate.

We hope our video will add new voices to this historic moment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,  and most importantly,
don't forget to VOTE ON NOVEMBER 6!
