In the past 3 years I have had to deal with quite a few health challenges and 3 weeks ago I had my 7th surgery in 3 years.
I had a total knee replacement in 2012 that never completely healed and as a result of that, I had to have additional surgeries trying to fix the problem. Unfortunately it didn't work and after going thru months of test, I was told in June that I had a artificial joint infection and that I would have to endure a 3-step process that included surgery to totally extract the knee, 6-8 weeks of IV antibiotic treatment to deal with the infection and more surgery to do a new total knee replacement once the infection is clear.
This process has been one of the hardest things I have EVER had to go through in my life and I have endured mental, physical and as of late, financial difficulties.
Having gone from working full-time and enjoying life to the fullest to long-term disability, limited mobility and looking for creative ways to supplement my income it has not been easy but God is good and HE has been faithful. I could say 'why me' but instead I say 'why not me' because I truly believe that if God brought me to it, HE will surely bring me thru it!!!
I have such an amazing support system and I've truly been blessed. Friends, family and associates have been such an encouragement to me in so many ways! I have a wonderful man in my life by the name of Todd Ross. Todd has been such a blessing to me and has been right by my side supporting me in all areas 100% thru this entire process. He gone over and beyond the call of duty when it comes to caring for me; to the point of discounting his own health challenges, pushing thru to care 100% for me because I'm unable to care for myself at this time. At this time Todd is caring for me full-time and he's unable to handle business within his own company as a entrepreneur. What a SACRIFICE!!!!!!!!! Thank you TODD!!!
Because of this, currently things are not as we would prefer them to be financially and help is needed. I was recently sharing my concerns with a friend when she reached out to see how I was doing and after sharing with her she said ' you have always been there in one way or another for EVERYONE; now it's time for us to be here for you.'
