Graham Family Medical Emergency Fund

My brother-in-law Bruce Graham suffered a cardiac arrest from a "Widowmaker." We were told only 1% survive after being without oxygen for 45 minutes.

Bruce was taken Thursday evening by helicopter from Cortland Hospital in Cortland, NY to St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY, where he was admitted in ICU.  The doctors did an emergency angioplasty procedure where a balloon was inserted in his heart to help keep the airways open and to assist with blood flow to his heart and brain.   He also had a stent put in the LAD artery (the widowmaker).  Currently, Bruce is on full life support and in a medically induced coma.  He also has mild cerebral edema due to lack of oxygen during cardiac arrest.  It will take time to evaluate the true extent of the damage to the brain.  Worst case scenario Bruce will be placed on a feeding tube and trachea with a ventilator for breathing until further notice.

The outlook is unknown.  We are taking it hour by hour praying for positive change and healing.  We have hope for a full recovery but the prognosis is difficult to access at this point in time.

My sister Loretta Graham, his wife, is self-employed and now has a loss of income with Bruce's current medical condition.  The funds will be used for rising medical costs and taking care of her family and home.  She has a 6 year old daughter Kayla and an 19 year old daughter Paige with Epilepsy.  Her oldest daughter Emma is pursuing a nursing degree and is unable to provide financial support to her family.

Bruce is the most loving dedicated husband and father to his wife Loretta and 3 children Emma, Paige and Kayla.   His wife and girls have been at the hospital daily.  They are hopeful, but are currently in desperate need of your help now.  Any amount you would be willing to contribute would be greatly appreciated.   Your prayers are welcomed.

With a heavy heart,

The Graham Family
