Fundraising for CSULB Nursing Student's Pinning Ceremony!
Hello!
We are 5th semester students of California State Long Beach, School of Nursing, finishing up our fifth and final semester of our program.
After 2.5 years of growing, learning, (mildly) stressing out and exploring the wonderful world and heart of nursing, we are ecstatic to announce that this December will be our official Nursing Pinning Ceremony to celebrate those enriching years! Thank you so much for taking the time to think of our cohort, and to visit our fundraising page.
For about 30 students and future nurses (as well as beloved family and staff), we have the responsibility to plan, fundraise for, and execute our own pinning ceremony, and since 4th semester we have been brainstorming ways and planning logistics on how we can create a memorable time and space to celebrate the achievements and future of our cohort. We are now delving into the details of our ceremony, and we humbly ask for your hand in partnering with our students to celebrate this exciting day!
With a $300 dollar start from our program, we wish to fundraise more with the hopes of obtaining a space where we can accommodate our class, close family and friends, and our honorable professors. Here are the details of our fundraising needs:
Costs of venue: $2000
Decorations, food&drink costs, programs: $200-400
In total, we are hoping to fundraise roughly $2,500 to cover the costs for our ceremony. For 30 students, we are hoping to fundraise enough to invite 10 people per student, additional professors, as well as cover the costs for refreshments, drinks, and venue space. With any excess funds, our cohort has decided to donate that amount to the next graduating cohort to help with their future pinning ceremony. We kindly ask for your support in celebrating with us!
Amidst our last semester duties of taking our final classes and doing our preceptorship shifts, our cohort is working even harder to plan this wonderful day where we can celebrate all the accomplishments, tears, fears, and excitement of being a future BSN Registered Nurse. This day is meaningless without recognizing the loved ones and professors that have supported each and every one of us during our rigorous program... so not only do we ask for your gracious support once again, but also the opportunity to celebrate this special day with those who supported us since day one.
We are eager to become RN's and (slightly) nervous for the NCLEX, but more than that we are truly excited and thankful to celebrate this day with you all.
