National Championship Travel Costs

Hi,
My name is Austin Miles and I am the President of the Colorado State University Pueblo Bass Fishing Team and my teammates Cooper Brown and Brian Nichols and I are looking for your kind and most helpful donation! We currently fish the FLW Yeti College series and the Carhartt Bassmaster College series leagues. We have been very fortunate and lucky to compete in bass fishing tournaments at the college level, but as some of you may know they don't schedule tournaments on lakes close to Colorado. So most of the time we have to travel hundreds of miles it compete, to show off our skills, and represent our school and sponsors. But, these trips are not cheap with boat and truck gas, hotels, food, and fishing licenses it can get pretty expensive. This year the leagues we fish changed their format by giving us college teams more opportunities to qualify for nationals. We are excited about the opportunity to fish more tournaments and work hard to get the CSU Pueblo Bass Team to Nationals! We have fished Three tournaments already this year and the team has had a great year so far. Back in early January at Lake Sam Rayburn in Texas we placed 55th out of 117 teams and missed the cut by 8 pounds, and the last week of January at Toledo Bend Reservoir we placed 88th out of 248 teams and missed the cut by 13 pounds. Then in March at Pueblo Reservoir we were lucky enough to win the B.A.S.S Nation Colorado College State Qualifier, which has qualified us for the National Championship this coming July at Lake Tenkiller in Oklahoma! The Bassmaster College National Championship will be at lake Tenkiller this year and all the best college bass fishing teams will be there representing there schools and sponsors and I'm very proud that we will be there competing to win and bring home a National Championship trophy to CSU Pueblo. For our team the trip is estimated around 1600 to 1700 miles, a possible 3 day tournament and 4 to 5 days of practice. So with boat and truck gas, lodging, and food for the trip we are trying to raise $2,000 to cover our trip to Nationals. Myself and my teammates of the CSU Pueblo Bass Team would be very thankful and appreciative of your donation. Your donation will help us travel to Lake Tenkiller and allow us to compete at Nationals. Without your donations we wouldn't even be able to afford the trip, so your money means everything to us! Our goal is to raise around $2,000 which would cover all our expenses for the teams trip to Nationals. Whether it is a $1 donation or $1OO anything helps and our team will be very thankful for your donation! So please help my team and I travel to the Bassmaster College National Championship so we can represent CSU Pueblo, our sponsors, and hopefully bring back that trophy to the city of Pueblo!
