Very recently my brother-in-law, Dan Clark, was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colorectal cancer. Our family was shocked and utterly crushed by this sudden news, but are now fully focused on hope and recovery.
Dan is ingrained in the very fiber of our community - a devoted husband and father first but also a friend to many, a lobster fisherman, a coach, and that really cool guy who helps out at Robyn's bakery from time to time. He's simply a wonderful human being and someone who gives us all faith in the good. There is no doubt about it - to know Dan is to love him.
Medical bills are already gathering and Dan will need to be away from work for quite some time while he undergoes treatment. Please, let's come together and raise as much as we can to ensure they needn't worry about how to pay the bills or stay ahead with one income. They need to focus all of their energy on Dan's wellbeing right now, so let's please remove any other stresses we can for them. I know the initial target is high, but I confess I've been conservative given the forecast of the financial burden. So please dig deep and give what you can.
