Climb for a Cause

In a few days, my son Jeremy and I will attempt to summit Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. At nearly 23,000 feet, it's the highest peak in the Andes and higher than any other in mountain in the Western and Southern Hemispheres. The climb will be a challenge, and we're grateful that we're able to take it on. But we realize that there are countless people in that region of the world who face desperate need. We want to combine our personal goal with an effort to help those far less fortunate than us.
HelpArgentina is a worthy organization that has been promoting social investment and making a difference in Argentina since 2003. HelpArgentina works with scores of charitable efforts in that country that are addressing needs such as education and hunger, and provides a safe and efficient infrastructure for them to receive support. The needs are extensive: Sixty percent of the children in Argentina live under the poverty line, in socially marginalized and extremely impoverished areas. www.helpargentina.org
