It's with an open heart that I spread the opportunity for others to contribue with THEIR open hearts! Our dear friend Ricky had a successful business years ago and in his typical fashion, he gave a lot away...paying for college for family members less fortunate and helping others pay off debts. He fell ill a few years ago, lost his job, his home and spent his savings on out-of-pocket medical bills. He ended up living in a mobile home and eventually came to revere it as his castle. Rebounding from health issues, Ricky remains proud, has deep friendships, continues to do service, and is finally well enough to work again.
Ricky was just informed by the state, that due to back taxes on his mobile home, in the amount of $5,200, it will be going up for auction on October 15th!! Ricky will be homeless. My 12 year old son, who adores Ricky, has already written to Ellen DeGeneres for assistance. (he did this one day last week without telling us until later that day!) I know many of you have various charities that you contribute to, and you don't know Ricky. He has a heart of gold and has helped so many people get back on their feets..I can't think of a greater gift than doing the same for him!
