Cruz Home Fire Fund

We have received several calls and texts from family and friends regarding Mom, Dad, and Eric Rene's present situation, so a little history. But first, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to those who have called, text, sent food, visited, and have prayed.  

On Wednesday, March 7, while Dad was at work and Eric Rene was at school. Mom turned on the central heat to warm the house before a shower. Within minutes, the furnace caught a fire. Within half a minute the attic was on fire. It sent flames through the ventilation system which then sent fire throughout the entire house. Fortunately, John had come home for lunch, noticed the flames, and got both he and mom out of the home, along with mom’s dog. A firefighter rescued Spartacus (again) who had run back in the home looking for (who we believe), Eric Rene.  Spartacus is doing great by the way! Mom and Dad have insurance but Dad was in the hospital today and is unable to work for the next several weeks.  Mom and Dad are staying with Monique and Matt for now. Eric Rene has been with Uncle Ricky and Aunt Kathy. Mom and Dad are in the process of working with the restoration company and will be seeking a temporary homestead. We ask for your prayers for strength during the next 3-4 months as Mom and Dad (and Eric Rene) attempt to rebuild their home.  Thank you and God Speed.
