Crucial Surgery for Brady
On the night of June 15, 2020 we realized Brady somehow hurt his back. He was taken to our regular vet the next morning and was told everything looked fine and was sent home with anti-inflammatory and pain medication. Then that Wednesday evening Brady got up from laying down with his back legs dragging behind him, we immediately knew something wasn’t right. Thursday morning after multiple calls to emergency vets, we were able to get in contact with someone who was available to see Brady right away and was aware of the severity of things. Brady was then rushed to the neurology center. Upon arrival the doctor told us it looked like a ruptured disc was causing his lower body to become paralyzed. We proceeded with an MRI scan which confirmed a disc did indeed rupture and there was a lot of inflammation. We were informed the chances of him walking again would be 50/50. Right after that he was taken into surgery to try to give Brady the best possible chance to be able to walk again.
Brady was finally able to come back home on June 22nd. Still recovering we won’t know if he will regain movement in his back legs just yet, but we are hopeful. Continuing to do our part at home Brady’s recent days consist of resting and daily leg exercises.
I was very hesitant to ask for help financially but with being furloughed due to covid19 all these unexpected expenses have lead me to create this gofundme in hopes to help pay for his treatments. We’d greatly appreciate you sharing this page if you are unable to donate.
