Michael, Emily and the boys

My sister's heartbreaking words from yesterday:
"My friends,

Thank you so much for your many prayers and well wishes. Michael and I received the official prognosis today. He has Stage IV andenocarcinoma, specifically in the pancreas and the ascites. We will speak to the team of oncologists today to discuss treatment, not for a cure but to make the rest of his time more comfortable. Most likely he does not have weeks left with us. Please continue to pray for a miracle and if that is not God's plan, please pray that he passes gently with as little pain as possible. Please also pray for our boys. They are completely heart broken.

We know that medical bills will continue to climb. Michael has been in the hospital off and on (mostly on) for the better part of a month and a half. We do not know how long he will be here, at Beth Israel Deaconess, in Boston. The plan is to get him home to Maine. Once there he will continue to be hospitalized or be in Hospice Care. We ask for your continued prayers and support. It is uncomfortable to ask friends and family for money, but in this circumstance whatever you can do to help with the inevitable medical bills would be appreciated. Thank you for all that you have already done and continue to do in support spiritually and monitarily. We love you.
