CRPS Research for the Bunkenburgs

Our sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma is hosting a philanthropy event that is near & dear to our hearts this year. Many people don't know the struggle that Molly Bunkenburg's mom, Kristin, has been going through for years now. She is diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a disease more painful than any of us would like to imagine. CRPS rates higher on the pain scale than childbirth and amputation, and it never ceases up - the pain is constant. Kristin lives with this, yet with such underfunded research, there are no answers. We think of how the pain has restricted her from ever visiting KU, or how the slightest touch of a bed sheet sends her into severe pain. We think of how her dad has never left her moms side, and that Molly and her 3 younger siblings have spent most of their childhoods watching their mom suffer. The severity and progression of this  disease continues to dumbfound scientists, but they lack the funds to keep searching for a cure. We hope that everyone can think of a loved one, and how you would do just about anything to take away their suffering. The Bunkenburgs and many others deserve some answers and peace.

Although we are fortunate enough to have our sorority host a fundraiser for the cause, we know that many people interested won't be able to be in attendance. After word has gotten out about the event, we've received many requests from friends & family about other ways to donate and get involved, which is why we created this option. Any donation at all will be forever appreciated.  All proceeds will go toward research for CRPS.
