<div>On April 7, 2022 a fire ripped through a block of downtown Friday Harbor and completely destroyed three buildings and several businesses, including Crows Nest Coffee. Crows Nest was a small, family-run business that Jon and Mary Hurley opened 10 years ago with nothing but an espresso machine and a dream. Through dedication to their mission of serving high quality coffee from a community hub in the heart of downtown, Crows Nest became a staple of the town of Friday Harbor. The uniqueness of the Crows Nest —from hand made menu boards and counter tops to old photographs and nautical antiques lining the walls—will make it difficult to replicate the original magic that made the coffee shop so special.
