Crowder Family Medical Bills

Donation protected

To say the Crowders have had major crisis happen over the last couple months is an understatement.  As I write this, Julie is still in the hosiptal after arriving at the ER on Christmas evening. She thought she only had the flu, but it was much more; the flu, pneumonia and ARDS (which hardens the lungs to the point of not being able to breathe). They immediately started to work on her coming into the ER.  Once they determined what she had they took her to the ICU where she was induced into a medical coma. She spent 8 days in the coma and has been brought out, but is still very ill and weak. We aren't sure how long she will be in the hospital but she has a long road ahead of her and when she is released to go home she will require medical home health care.   To add to the concerns they have two boys with Autisum who rely on her.  During her recovery, they will need to hire outside help to take care of them while Greg is at work.

Besides her immediate medical expenses and needs, both boys have had medical needs as well and insurance has not covered it.  To give an example, for a normal dental exam the boys have to be put under anesthesia and it's not covered by insurance.  All costs are out of pocket for the family and it piles up very quickly.

On Thanksgiving day we had record rains which flooded their basement with 10 inches of water.  They were forced to strip all the flooring, cabinets, dry wall and furniture and take it all to the dump.  Insurance didn't cover anything so it was a complete loss.  They can't afford to fix anything downstairs due to the medical bills, so they have the doors shut and locked so the boys won't enter.

They have a lot of medical needs throughout the year in general but 2017 has hit them hard.

This is a family that never asks for help.  They are always the givers and first to show up to help others.

This has taken a toll on the family's income and anything you can do to help will be put to good use and so appreicated.

Let's rally around the Crowders and return the kindness and generosity that they have given to others over the years.
