White blood cell counts are rising to normal levels, Albumin level/liver produces protein fell a bit, causing facial swelling. He’s still not eating on his own ☹️ he’s been hospitalized since Monday, praying he can come home soon!

We barely got to cuddle, we just met and now it’s taking a village to keep this dog alive. It just seems so unfair the bad dealings he’s had thrown his way.

We will need to pay the vet 100% of the total to release him if he makes it. It was confirmed the entire litter was affected. Anything over our total raised, that we don’t need will be returned or donated to the rescue to help the other pups!

His vitals are slightly improving today!!

Hi! Our new fur baby named Crouton was adopted on a Friday at 12:30pm, by 5:30pm the rescue called to say the runt of the litter had the parvovirus, and we had absolutely no idea what we were in for.

We already have two other dogs, so we knew isolation was best.

Friday and Saturday Crouton showed no symptoms of parvo and was full of puppy kisses and love!

Sunday evening, he took a tail spin and quickly deteriorated.

Monday morning we were at our local vet, and they recommended to transfer him to the 24/7 animal hospital.

The 24/7 clinic needed $5500 down to even start treatment!! Vet said treatment could be up to $7,000!!!!

We had only had our new puppy for 72 hrs and he now has to literally fight for his life.

He came from a bad breeder situation to begin with, the rescue took him and his litter mates in, and now when he finds a loving family, he is hanging on by a thread.

The rescue won’t help cover all the costs of treatment, and we weren’t anticipating this to happen. No one ever anticipates an emergency…

Anything will help!
