I'm currently a junior at Arizona State and I have been accepted in to a unique study abroad trip for the summer session. I'm majoring in Print Journalism with a specialty in PR.
Trip name: Cronkite Euro: Social Media Across Cultures: The European Perspective
Trip Dates: June 7 to June 28th, 2014
Cost: $7,000.00
Credits Earned: 6
Some details about the program:
•We will be visiting three world media capitals - European's crown city jewels of London, Paris, and Milan
•Experience what it's like to be a foreign correspondent reporting and sharing stories from abroad
•Visit global newsrooms, PR firms and other media outlets while absorbing as much local coverage as you can
In London, we will be visiting the BBC and the 2012 Olympic Stadium amongst many others.
In Paris, we will hear from correspondence from Bloomberg and CNN and attend a lecture at the Louvre.
As for Milan, where we will be going and what we will be doing is still a secret. I'm in my second year of Italian so this will be my big chance to test drive my new learned language.
I know that a lot of people on this site are asking for funds to help with medical bills or injured animals, I'm lucky to be healthy and to have this opportunity.
