<div>Crohn’s disease is a lifelong inflammatory bowel condition that affects the digestive system. It can cause severe pain, chronic fatigue, weight loss, malnutrition, and unpredictable flare-ups that impact daily life. There is currently no cure, and for many people, it affects not just physical health but also mental wellbeing, work, relationships, and overall quality of life.

<div>I have been living with Crohn’s disease for the past eight years, and it has been a daily struggle. While some days are manageable, others can be extremely challenging. Living with Crohn’s means facing uncertainty every day, and many people don’t fully understand how difficult it can be—even when symptoms aren’t visible. I know I’m not alone in this, and thousands of others face similar battles every single day.

<div>To raise awareness and funds, I am taking on a huge personal challenge. From January 1st to January 31st, I will be running 155 miles, which works out at 5 miles every day for the entire month—the equivalent of nearly six marathons. This is a massive physical and mental challenge, especially while managing Crohn’s, but it’s something I’m determined to complete.

<div>January holds a special meaning for me. It was the month when Crohn’s was first discovered in my system, before I was officially diagnosed in March. It’s also my birthday month (January 23rd), making this challenge an important milestone in my journey. I hope to turn something difficult into something positive by raising awareness and vital funds for Crohn’s &amp; Colitis UK.
