Crit's Crew

On July 16, 2017, Crit Calvin Lucas, Jr. was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, liver cancer. Crit is a friend to many, a dad to three, and "Unkme" (uncle) to one, and a "Boomer" to five. As you can see, he plays multiple roles to many people, and each role impacts lives. After the diagnosis, more than one person has approached his family and stated that he is the reason that they are alive. We are waiting on the biopsy to tell us the exact stage of his cancer. What we do know, at this time, is that: 1) that it is inoperable, and 2) incurable. We suspect chemo will be the first step; but, again, we won't know for sure until the biopsy comes back. Instead of his usual routine of nursing and taking care of others, as he did uncomplainingly each day for years, Crit now finds himself on the other end of the spectrum, with himself now being the one in need of help. He will be unable to work, which results in a great need for financial support.
