Cristina's Cannabis Cure

I'm going to try to keep this simple. As many of you know, my twin sister, Cristina, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in May of 2013. This news was devastating and frightening but Cristina, our family, friends and I were determined to help Cristina fight and win this battle. It has been 18 months since we learned about Cristina's diagnosis; and she is very much alive and fighting. After participating in a clinical trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering and undergoing numerous rounds of chemotherapy, we have reached the end of what western and allopathic medicine can do for her. While the tumor in Cristina's pancreas has remained stable, the tumor in her liver has grown. After researching our options, we have decided to ramp up our holistic approach to fighting this disease. One facet of this approach is the use and consumption of Cannabis Oil. This oil is produced from marijuana and is rich in THC and Cannabinoids that have shown great promise in eradicating tumors. The use of medicinal marijuana is legal in New Jersey. However in order to obtain a license the patient and the caregiver who will obtain and administer the medicine must be registered. The State registration fee is $300 for the patient and $200 for the caregiver, additionally, a physician’s exam and authorization from a NJ certified medicinal marijuana doctor costs $300. We need help to register for the program so that we can obtain product legally in order to produce this potentially lifesaving oil and give Cristina another weapon to fight this disease.
