Crisis Relief Help Raise the Big Top Again!

The Quircus is a Quincy Community Circus- a place for creative people to learn, teach, or participate in a variety of performances and community events! Quircus was founded in 2015 by a collaboration of local performers and functions under the umbrella of Plumas Arts, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, that offers administration assistance and serves as a fiscal receiver.
For the last five years, Quircus volunteers have donated their time to bring lively entertainment and creative activities to the rural town of Quincy, California. Opportunities of all kinds can be hard to come by in a county with only 20,000 residents. We have offered many workshops and performances to the community for free of charge.
We are asking for your help to cover our annual operating expenses for our small business, including:
*Liability Insurance
*Storage Unit Rent
*Website Renewal
These costs total $1,500 for one year. We have an extra special opportunity right now: "If a small business raises $500 on their GoFundMe... they may be considered to receive a $500 matching grant from the Small Business Relief Fund." Yep you read that right - a $500 matching grant opportunity.
We had an extensive and very busy performance season lined up for 2020 that was going to cover our bills and provide fun activities for the community. Unfortunately, all public events are cancelled because of statewide closures and stay-at-home orders due to Covid-19. Please help us qualify for the #SmallBusinessRelief Fund.
Our big spring fundraiser was planned as "Putting on the Ritz" Roaring 20s Theme Party at the Veterans Hall on June 6th. We had begun weekly rehearsals and many planning meetings for our big 5 Year Anniversary. All of our classes, shows, carnival booth events have been cancelled for the year and we need help to RAISE THE BIG TOP AGAIN!
