Cricket Alley Ministries is a registered, 501(c)3 non- profit organization with a mobile fashion truck that is used to serve local "at-risk" women! The truck offers a new, efficient opportunity to deliver apparel, and supplies. This mobile boutique is stocked with nice quality, donated, clothing and accessories. The donated clothing is supplied by Dress For Success, and private donations. This beautiful mobile boutique has clothing racks, jewelry displays, and a fitting room. The women can try on the clothing, while the team from Cricket Alley Ministries offers fashion guidance in a caring, compassionate manner.
Delivering clothing and accessories to local shelters is just the beginning of the life changing impact to be made. Cricket Alley Ministries also offers continuing education classes through our "Empower Program". There are five areas of focus; Fashion & beauty, self-defense, Bible classes, finances & budgeting, as well as nutrition & cooking classes. We also strive to educate the Wichita community on each organization, and how they can be a part of this mentoring program.
Cricket Alley Ministries served an estimated 100 women in 2015. Our goal for 2016 is to serve a minimum of 500 women in the Wichita area. At the moment, Cricket Alley Ministries serves women at four different organizations; Wichita Women's Initiative Network, Harbor House, Carpenter Place, and the Women's Crisis Center. As we grow, we will be expanding our outreach to other women's shelters and organizations.
What you are funding: Your funds help provide each woman with specific needs that have not been provided by our apparel donations. The funding will be also be used to pay for the supplies needed to launch and maintain our Empower Program, as well as regular maintenance for our fashion truck.
