Cremation fund for my Sister

Donation protected
My Sister passed away Saturday in her sleep.  Thanks so much for your continued support for funds for her cremation.  My family and I really appreciate your thoughts and preyers at this time.  She is no longer in pain, and we are greatful for that.

My name is Deborah Shipp and my Sister is Katherine McCoy.   My Sister was diagnosed with stage 4 Cervical Cancer this past week.  She is only 39 years old and is now in the hospital admitted to Hospice.  I have been told her disease will take her in a month or two.

I was 20 when my Mom told me she was pregnant.  Wow, I was going to have a sister (I was an only child until that point).  With a 20 year difference over the years, we have had our ups and downs, which is somewhat natural even when you don't have 20 years separating you.

Our Mom passed away from a heart attack 14 years ago this coming Friday.  Kathy was with her when she passed.   My Mom had many illnesses leading up to her heart attack and my Sister put her life on hold to help take care of our Mom.  Kathy ended up developing lymphedema in both her legs and had to go on disability herself.

My Sister is smart, funny, loves music (classic rock), loves driving with me through the country just looking up at the stars and of course, she loves the show Supernatural.   She keeps up with current issues, loves animals and the cause of helping any animal in need or neglected.  My Sister loves me.  I am so privileged and honored to have her in my life.  She has lived with me since our Mom passed and our bond has grown over the years.

She has always been one to think about everyone else and her needs and wants she always put on the back burner with no regrets.  We have never had much money but we have always had love.

As she enters her final days on this earth, her main concern (still looking after the people she loves), is that her passing will not create a financial burden on her family.  With other health issues she was not approved for any life insurance she applied for.

It is her wish to be cremated and I am asking for any assistance that you may be able to offer so that she will not spend her final moments worried about how the costs will affect her family and we can make those arrangements and give her peace of mind.  I know I will have an empty space in my heart forever but I will be with her to the end and my hope is that she dies peacefully.

There is so much more I could say about my Sister but the pain is so raw right now.  It is just so hard to see her slip away from me.  Just know she is a wonderful caring person with a heart of gold and a love for life and family.  I will love her always.
