cremation and loss costs

when a loss is so unexpected, there are costs that come up that can be just as unexpected. preparation can sometimes not be done soon enough.
my family is in deepest sorrow and could use a little help navigating this finacial portion to help give dad the resting place he needs. a little about him:
Ken Childs was a founding member and regular attendee of Harvest Baptist Temple in Medford, OR. He served faithfully in the video ministry. He was always looking for ways to help by gettng video servicesout locally and across the world. He served our country honorably in the U. S. Navy. When he was discharged, he and his wife, Cathy moved to the Rogue Valley, where they made their home and raised 3 children. Their children are grown now, and he had 4 grandchildren, whom he adored and loved spending time with, teaching them all sorts of things from wood working to gardening to "magic" tricks which all his grand children adored. He worked in the Allied Health industry in Prosthetics and Orthotics for 30 years in the family business, Pacific Orthotic and Prosthetic Service (POPS). He was passionate about gardening, crusing, wood working, and entreprenureship. He loved alaska. His heart was only for his wife and serving faithfully all the years he could. He died suddenly when his heart stopped, leaving his wife of 42 years, his children, and grandchildren. We know that he is in heaven with our Lord and Savior and we all have that blessed hope of seeing him again. While we are sad sometimes, but we are rejoicing in the Lord that we have assurance that he is heaven and we will see him again. This account is to help handle the extra expenses that occur with the death of a loved one that are not covered by the VA benefits.
