Cremation y monumento de Humberto Rodriguez

Unfortunately, early this month, my father Humberto Rodriguez passed away after his 14-day Battle with COVID-19. He had shortness of breath and ended up hospitalized, passing only 4 short days after entering the hospital and being put on a ventilator. Dying in the hospital, alone, is a cruel way to go. The purpose of this page is to fund a memorial for my father that will include all of his family and friends at OUR LADY OF PEACE church. Any funds left over will be used for The Mexican Baseball League. My dad was a hard-working man, god-driven, someone who would wake up at 5:00 AM to go to work, someone with morals and values that’ll continue to live on through me and my siblings. He left behind two daughters and two sons that will forever miss him. he was a founding leader and president of the Mexican Baseball League of New York (1995-2020). He was passionate about baseball and community. His passing leaves a void in the heart of my family and our entire Hispanic community. RIP dad, see you at the ball park in heaven. Please help me and my family send my father’s spirit off the right way, with a memorial that he deserves. Any donation will take us a step closer to honoring him and his legacy. Desafortunadamente perdimos a nuestro gran líder de la Liga Mexicana de Béisbol de NY, al señor Humberto Rodríguez Vergara, alias "El Beto". Falleció en Abril 3 después de estar 5 días en batalla critica con el enemigo invisible, el Coronavirus. Le pedimos ayuda de corazón a los que nos puedan ayudar en estos momentos difíciles para su cremación y su misa. Humberto, nuestro padre y el centro de nuestra familia, fue presidente de la liga durante 25 años (1995-2020). Era trabajador, guiado por Dios, y un ejemplo a seguir. Fue un sabio del Béisbol y verdadero héroe para nuestra comunidad y el deporte. Seguiremos honrando su memoria, siguiendo su legado de la liga. Las fondas que sobren serán usadas para apoyar a la liga. Cuando ya sea posible reunirse, queremos celebrar una misa honrando su recuerdo en un Iglesia en Brooklyn, antes de que enviemos sus cenizas a México. Su deseo era que lo enteráramos en México junto a Inés Vergara y Salomé Rodríguez (sus padres y nuestros abuelos).
