Leonel's Surgery Fund

Leonel Camprubi is a 9-year-old boy from the Pamplona shantytown on the outskirts of Lima, Peru. Years ago, Leonel was diagnosed with a rare congenital disease in the kidneys. Because of his affliction, his family has consistently moved around Peru seeking the best care for Leonel and have exhausted their resources. In 2017, Leonel required surgery. Our organization Creeré helped to raise the money to pay for Leonel to travel to Barcelona and receive the operation. Devastatingly, a potentially fatal tumor has since reappeared, and it must be removed immediately with another surgery. We are trying to rapidly raise funds so as to ensure Leonel’s safety and chance to live a full life. 

100% of the funds raised by this Go Fund Me will be sent by Creeré to directly pay for Leonel’s operation and travel expenses. Creeré is a non-profit organization operating in the Pueblos jovenes shantytowns on the outskirts of Lima, Peru. Creeré seeks to provide access and improve the quality of education for children living in these makeshift neighborhoods.
