Creativity Explored Artist Respite Room

Creativity Explored is raising money to build an artist respite room. Will you add your name to the list of supporters providing a safe space for artists with developmental disabilities?
The new room will provide a quiet space when artists start to feel overwhelmed or anxious while creating art in our colorful and active studio. And, thanks to donors like you, the space will include multi-sensory tools for artists to relax and reorient themselves for the day.
Each artist will personally benefit from the respite room. Artists like, Sasha*, who works each day in our studio. When Sasha focuses on her paintings and drawings, her work gains popularity with art patrons and curators alike. There are times, however, when Sasha obsesses about her medical worries and flashbacks of her childhood spent in institutions across California. When her anxieties and fears creep up, Sasha needs a quiet space to calm down and breathe. A respite room will provide Sasha, and all the other artists at Creativity Explored, with the much needed sanctuary she craves. Will you help us?

Here's how far your donation goes:
$1,000 builds a wall providing a secluded space in the back of our studio
$500 provides a chair in which an artist can sit comfortably
$250 paints the room a soft, gentle color to aid in relaxation
$100 adds an air detoxifying plant assisting our artists with smell sensitivities
$50 installs a lamp to adjust the light to the preferred degree of brightness
$25 provides fidget tools for artists to reorient and focus
