Creating combined garden habitats

Donation protected
As part of my studies as an Environmental Science student, I am studying an Integrated Masters in Environmental Science as well as diplomas in Environmental Improvements and, Environmental Legislation and Policy I am also a student member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and am looking to embark on a short program with Plumpton College in May 2022, in Countryside Management.

I have been working on a project designed to look at our gardens as an ecosystem but also as a way of creating a self-sufficient habitat in varied ways. This project delivers an abundance of produce but also enables nature to work alongside, and within, the produce beds. I am passionate about developing this project further by expanding into local communities and am looking to create 6-8 projects for other people.

Using my passion for helping others and for the environment, people invite me to take over areas of their gardens or greenspaces. I then design and create a combined ecosystem of wildflowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables which become an interconnected garden area that combines habitats for insects and pollinators. Combined with the food production this encourages nature back into gardens and green spaces, boosting biodiversity and becoming more eco-friendly reducing their carbon emissions. All this serves to create spaces where balance is brought back to nature.

Your donations will go towards developing these projects for people that need support getting started and will help to provide for families within the local area. Produce will be donated to local communities, food banks and community fridges, as well as returning to those that have donated the land and greenspaces and these people will be taught how to manage and develop it for years to come.

Your donations will go towards tools, seeds, fencing and equipment that will be required in the setup of the projects, along with a portion going towards my Countryside Management course so that I may be able to assist local estates and communities in the creation and management of  habitat spaces.

In order to help raise sponsorship I shall be embarking on The Ring Road Virtual Challenge with Conqueror Challenges which is an 828 mile road trip along Iceland. This means a 7 miles walk every day for 16-weeks, and is a challenge that plants trees at key points along your journey and you can keep up with my progress through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Thank you for your support and please get in touch if you would like me to design and create a space for you. All proceeds will go into this fund and be paid forward to those that need assistance.
