Help Bring TactivoPlay Audio Games to More Players

TactivoPlay is a new collection of accessible, audio-based games for Windows PCs and laptops, designed especially for blind and low-vision players. Instead of relying on graphics, tiny menus, or fast visual reactions, TactivoPlay games are built around clear sound cues, spoken feedback, simple controls, timing, memory, and positional audio. The project currently has 10 games in beta testing, with another 10 games planned and shaped by player feedback, creating a final collection of 20 accessible audio games.

The goal is simple: to make gaming more enjoyable, more inclusive, and easier to access for people who are often left out by mainstream game design.

TactivoPlay includes a wide mix of game types, such as:

Audio Racer — race by listening to directional sound cues.

Beat Tapper — tap along to music and rhythm.

Black Jack — play a spoken version of the classic card game.

Bug Basher — drive by sound and squash bugs using positional audio.

General Knowledge Quiz — answer spoken quiz questions.

Hi-Low Card Game — guess whether the next card is higher or lower.

Pizza Maker Plus — listen to orders and build pizzas by sound.

Sequence Memory — repeat sound patterns from memory.

Soundcast Fishing — cast and reel by listening for fish.

Treasure Chest and the Ancients — explore an audio-based adventure world.

Why This Project Matters

Many games are still difficult or impossible to play without sight. Menus, movement, aiming, timing, instructions, and feedback often depend heavily on visual information. TactivoPlay is different because it is being designed around sound and accessibility from the beginning, not as an afterthought.

How TactivoPlay Will Help People

It will give blind and low-vision players more games they can enjoy independently.

It will create games that do not require fast visual reactions.

It will help players enjoy racing, cards, quizzes, music, memory games, fishing, cooking, and adventure games through sound.

It will support non-visual play using spoken instructions and audio feedback.

It will use simple controls so players can focus on the game, not complicated button combinations.

It will include headphone-friendly gameplay, making it easier to hear direction, distance, timing, and important game events.

It will give players a varied collection of games instead of just one small accessible title.

It will help families, schools, support workers, and accessibility groups introduce more people to accessible gaming.

It will encourage confidence by giving players games they can understand, control, and replay.

It will provide fun, challenge, and entertainment without depending on a screen.

It will show that accessible games can be colourful, exciting, varied, and enjoyable for everyone.

It will help gather real feedback from beta testers so the final games work better for the people they are designed for.

It will support future game ideas chosen and shaped by players themselves.

It will make gaming more inclusive by building around sound, memory, timing, touch, and player feedback.

It will help create a collection that can be played at home, in schools, in clubs, or by accessibility organisations.

It will give players quick games they can enjoy in short sessions, as well as deeper games with replay value.

It will help reduce the feeling of being excluded from gaming because of inaccessible menus or visual-only design.

It will support a more direct and simple way to play games on Windows PCs and laptops.

It will help prove that accessibility-first game design can be fun, practical, and creative.

Why Support Is Needed

TactivoPlay is already in beta testing, but there is still a lot of work to do. Each game needs careful testing, clearer audio feedback, accessible menus, balanced difficulty, and player-friendly controls. Because these games are designed for non-visual play, every sound matters. A menu beep, a spoken instruction, a rumble strip, a card announcement, a fish splash, or a positional bug sound can make the difference between confusion and fun.

Support from this GoFundMe will help turn the project into a stronger, more polished collection that more people can enjoy.
