In 2017, One Piece A Day was launched as an effort to mobilize and empower people around the world to fight litter and plastic pollution. Our focus has always been on the power of teamwork on a global scale. If we can get everyone on the planet involved, all that each person would have to do is pick up—like our name suggests—one piece of litter a day!

Our mission needs your support! Here are the three ways your donation can help us:

1) A FREE MOBILE APP

One Piece A Day is the key to realizing the impact of simple, daily actions. The app not only tracks individual contributions over time, but also combines them with the efforts of all app users worldwide.

By simply taking a picture and inputting the quantity of litter, you can watch as your personal count grows. It may seem small at first, but with consistency, it adds up to create a significant impact.

But One Piece A Day goes beyond just keeping records. We are continuously improving the app to amplify your contribution. Right now, we are looking to add litter flagging/reporting, notification nudging, and AI object identification to make it even easier for all to make a difference.

Your donation would not only support the app, but also a global movement of individuals committed to cleaning the planet of litter and plastic pollution. 2) INSPIRING YOUNG MINDS

Your donation will also support our work in empowering students across the GTA and beyond! Through educational talks, workshops, and school clean-ups, we show children and young people that changing the world is within their reach.

By raising $5,000, we can bring our program to at least 20 schools, reaching roughly 7,500 students who may not have had access to our programs otherwise.

3) CLEANING UP TORONTO PARKS & LAKESHORE

We practice what we preach! As an organization based in Toronto, we host summer clean-ups to engage communities in protecting their natural spaces. Your donation will also help us make a positive impact in our local community.

Microplastics in drinking water and food pose unknown risks to people in Canada and the U.S. Improper disposal and littering contaminate our rivers and lakes. By picking up litter, we move closer to cleaning our beautiful waterways.
