Child Rape Survivor Support Fund

What happened?  A school guard and three other men have raped a 15-year-old girl in Tirana, Albania. The school guard was 65-year-old Abaz Doku. Doku threatened the girl that he had photos of her and another boy from the school. He then raped her in his brother's home, and recorded it for blackmail. The video was later sent to 3 young men. The 3 young men also used the video as blackmail to rape the young girl.  One of the rapists is 20-year-old Klajdi Poçi, and the other men are minors. All four rapists were arrested by police. Doku and the other men would show videos of the rape to the neighborhood, but no one spoke out. They even wrote graffiti on the walls outside of the girl's family apartment, shaming and blaming her for the rape, rather than the perpetrators. 

The girl and her family live in poverty. Due to public pressure, the family was obliged to move homes. Currently, the mother is the only one who works and her salary supports the entire family including the husband, daughter and son. 

How will donations be used? The fundraiser is coordinated directly with the Children's Human Rights Centre of Albania, which is  already working to support the girl and her family. All money that is raised will go to the girl. Once the goal has been reached, or at the end of this campaign – whichever is sooner – the funds will be transferred. The money will be used for therapy, education and other essential needs.

All donors will receive proof of bank transfer and there will be full transparency.
