Crash Course in Adulthood

In a recent turn of events, I was involved in a hit and run accident while riding my scooter home. I shattered my ankle, and have been told by my doctor that I may never be able to walk again. I was also told by my doctor that I'll be facing a $15,945.98 medical bill. I have no health insurance, and no motor insurance. The officer who was assigned to the case went on vacation the day following the accident, and there have been no leads as to who caused this. The responsibility has fallen entirely on my shoulders. I had .37 cents in my bank account at the time of the accident. My mother has done a lot to help me, but she doesn't have much either. I am a self-sufficient, hard worker...and I am pained to have to ask for help; but I really have no other options. I have never been handed anything, I've worked for all that I have, and since I will be out of work for a couple of months; I may lose all that I have worked for. If I can raise enough money to pay off my bills, or at least keep my head above water- I will be more than grateful.Though I am unable to work right now, I am more than happy to repay any donation when I am more mobile, I will do any favors, paint you a picture, dog sit, watch your children, whatever you may need.
