Dear Friends and Colleagues:
We are contacting you to share with you our most recent efforts in facilitating much needed assistance to our families, friends and communities in our homeland of Puerto Rico. As many of you are aware, Puerto Rico suffered extensive devastation after hurricane Maria. Almost a month after the hurricane, many of our families and communities in Puerto Rico are still with no electrical power, no drinking water and in many areas with no communication from the outside world.
Maria and I, we are trying to ameliorate the suffering that our families and communities are going through by facilitating much needed assistance in the form of supplies, cash to rebuild their communities, and/or relocation expenses. We have been fortunate to be able to relocate our mothers so they are currently staying with us here in Washington DC, while their living places are rebuild, but there are others who have not been able to receive any assistance at all.
We are currently organizing cash donations which we are planning to deliver to communities in Puerto Rico. One of these communities is the area of Crash Boat in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and their fish market which was completely devastated by the hurricane. The Crash Boat Fish Market community is a humble group of families for which their only way of life is what they can catch from the ocean and share with the rest of the community. At the moment, they have no home for the market, and no way to regain their day-by-day activities.
The second activity for which we are requesting your kind support is to help us in providing support for families during this Christmas Holiday Season to those families who have lost everything during this hurricane and who will not be able to provide for their sons and daughters during this Holiday Season. Maria and I, we are planning to “adopt” up to three families, and provide them with enough funds to cover groceries, supplies, and presents for their sons and daughters.

We ensure you that your kind donation will be deliver in full to the two communities listed above. Maria and I, we are new to this, but with your support and assistance we are hoping to bring some joy and happiness to these communities in Puerto Rico.
We are planning to travel to Puerto Rico the week of December 16-31, 2017, and will be delivering these donations to these two communities during that time.
