CRASH BANG BOOM PERSISTENCE FUND

Well folks, it's been a week since we've had to close due to Covid-19. It seems we're nonessential. We beg to differ. Here's a little story.
Back in the year 2000, Rob and I, (Stefanie) took over ownership of Zipperhead after working there for a number of years. It wasn't an easy task getting loans (turned down by a few banks) but we were PERSISTENT and it happened. We had a great staff working with us. Things went great that first year. THEN 911 HAPPENED. The East Coast was turned upside down, let alone the world. We managed to keep afloat through the economic crisis.
In 2005, we had to move. Many of our friends and family helped us with that move and we are forever grateful. That is also when CRASH BANG BOOM was born. 528 S. 4th Street our new home. BUT (yes, there's a but) a newspaper pitched the story as if we were going out of business and well, KYW for 24 hours reported that story. A VERY incorrect one. We had a friend in the newspaper biz, who tried to help us spread the news that WE WERE STILL HERE just around the corner! Apparently bad news catches like fire and good news was more like a snail. But we didn't let that stop us and kept at it working the best we could to remind folks that we were around and didn't have plans on going anywhere.
2008, the year the economy crashed. We had to let our staff go. We never hid anything from them. They knew the numbers. They also knew South Street was in disrepair for almost a full year. One of the hardest things in our life to do, because we loved them. They were our family. We could have flooded our shop with tears. Rob and I continued to run the shop on our own. We were determined to stick around and we have done just that.
I shared all of this (and this is condensed) with you because its about PERSISTENCE. We have been persistent because of YOU.
It is now March 23, 2020. We have been closed for a week. Many of you have reached out to us asking us to do a GoFundMe because you want CRASH BANG BOOM to be around when this is all said and done. Rob and I could not be more humbled by your kind words and thoughts. We are also not the type of folks who like to ask for assistance. But everyday new restrictions regarding Covid-19 are being put in place, and therefore we just actually may need your help to be able to get things back up and running again whenever that time may be.
We appreciate all of your love and support over the years. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Above all, STAY SAFE! We want to be able to see all you folks soon!
