NICU Military Family in Need!!

On July 31, 2014, my brother, Alex, and his wife, Amanda, had an unexpected delivery. Their son, Ethan Michael, was born 15 weeks early at only 24 weeks and 6 days gestation. He was 1lb 11oz, 13 inches long. He was immediately brought to the NICU. He is in critical but stable condition. They aren't able to hold him at all, and it will be along time until they are able to bring their son home.
Their life has changed drastically. As a military family, Alex, Amanda, and their 2 year old son, Josiah, are station at Ft. Polk which is 75 miles away from the hospital baby Ethan is in. Balancing both children has already posed a challenge due to the extensive travelling involved.
Thankfully, 100% of Ethan's medical bills will be covered by their insurance, however, a great need has arised from the unexpected expenses surrounding the early birth of their son. But, when it rains, it pours. Their first week has been extra financially stressful due to their washing machine gave up, their car needing a new battery, the extra tanks of gas, and unplanned meal expenses while travelling. The thought of these expenses continuing throughout the next couple of months is overwhelming.
Please, keep their family in your thoughts and prayers. If you are able to give, in any amount, they would be extremely grateful. All donations made will go straight to Alex and Amanda to help cover their unusual expenses including: tanks of gas, oil changes, meals on the road, a new washing machine, car battery, and anything else that unexpectedly comes up over the next couple of months.
