Craig Thompson's Back Surgery

Craig has lived and worked for years with severe back pain, resulting from a hockey injury in his younger age. Tests have shown Degenerative Disc Disease, Spinal Stenosis, and Osteoarthritis. He was told in his 30's that he was too young to have surgery, and a referral to a surgeon was not made. Now in his 40's he has been told by several surgeons the damage is too extensive and they will not operate on him, rather he should have been referred 10 years ago! It has been estimated that he will be in a wheelchair if he remains untreated. He continues to push through his pain, but it is showing in his ability to play with his children, walk, or even stand for only brief periods of time. Which brings us to where we are today, the need for funds. He has found a surgeon in Germany that is willing to operate on him, placing 2 discs in his back that have literally worn away, nerve repair, and rehabilitation. This doctor has had many successful surgeries and is confident that he will be able to restore Craig's back to a degree that will give him a quality of life he so very much deserves. Greatly reducing his pain, and allowing him to even return to activities many of us take for granted. We realize the amount is steep, and we truly appreciate any amount that will help us reach our goal.
