Craig-Heddins Expenses

Hello! My name is Micah Heddins and I am Austin Heddins’ sister. Austin was involved in a bad car accident on Tuesday night.

 

We are out of the woods as far as any life threatening injuries - he’s had one surgery on his laceration - we are waiting for surgeries on his fractured pelvis and wrist still - he has a chest tube in for his collapsed lung - some broken ribs and fractured vertebrae, and he got some staples in an incision on the back of his head.

 

Carle has estimated his hospital stay to be 2-3 weeks long + therapy. He just told me this morning, ”Sis, I don’t think I’ll take life for granted ever again!” He also told me he knows he has a long recovery ahead but is willing to put in the work.

 

We are so very blessed and thankful to have him here with us…and grateful for all the amazing staff at Carle who are all taking good care of him! He is loved beyond measure!

 

Austin’s insurance should cover most of the medical expenses; however, my step-mom, Tammy (Austin’s mom) and my dad, Lenny (Austin’s dad) will be alternating staying with him and traveling back and forth for the duration of his stay.

 

In order to be there for him, they will both have to miss work. In order to help ease the burden of the expenses throughout this time, our family would appreciate any extra support we can get, whether that be monetary or simply keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

 

Austin is blessed with an amazing support system and many people have reached out to see how they can help, so it was suggested that we create this page.
