Craig Gerndt Memorial Fund

Craig S. Gerndt was a beloved friend, son, brother, husband and father to his family and to all who were fortunate enough to get to know him.  Craig served many years as a police officer in the Morris County Sherrif's Office, and was an active particpator in community events.  Craig loved to spend time with his family.  He was in attendance for every family event and could be relied upon to help out with anything someone needed without asking and without hesitation.

Craig was a beloved son of Frank and Lois Gerndt, a beloved brother to Frank, Darryl and Matthew Gerndt, a beloved husband to his wife Susan Gerndt for 32 years, and a beloved father to his sons Craig Jr. and Jeffrey and daughter Kristina.  Craig had big plans to retire after his daughter graduated high school in which he  wanted to spend more time with his family, traveling with his wife, fishing, and cruising his '68 Camaro.  But unfortunately, those aspirations suddenly ended on Tuesday evening, June 27th.  Craig Stephen Gerndt Sr. passed away after undiagnosed internal injuries from a fall.  He was 48 years old.

As mentioned, Craig's sons are currently in college and his 10 year old daughter is very active in sports.  The money raised here will go directly to Craig and Sue's children for college.  Craig was a very proud father and a true patriot while serving and protecting in the police force.  He will be dearly missed and remembered as a family man who would do anything for the people he loved.  We would like to thank everyone for all their support in this extremely tough time.  Craig's wife Susie and their children always did what they could to help others.  While they never expected anything in return for their kindness, we would like to help them now any way we can.
