Paying tribute to Craig Caples

Dear dad the world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you shall never pass away.
It is with great sadness; I announce the passing of my dad Craig Caples. He succumbed to his illness and passed away on December 21st, 2020 after an extensive battle with Metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Craig was diagnosed about 2 years ago and given a short life sentence. If you knew my father, you would know that he has never given up on any challenge ever put in front of him. His life would not be the first. He decided to fight, and fight is exactly what he did. He underwent 2 gamma knife radiosurgeries to his brain, chemo, and many rounds of radiation. With the surgeries, doctor appointments, medications and in-home help, the costs quickly added up and most definitely put a hardship on him, my mom, and all of us family members.
My dad continued to fight the cancer up till the very last day of his life. He never once gave up. He refused to believe that the cancer would prevail. He made it longer than any of the doctors ever believed he would. So in the end- my dad has still never backed down or lost a battle.
Unfortunately, financial circumstances prevent my family from providing the adequate needs of a proper burial and monetary short comings. If you can find it in your heart to help in anyway with expenses, we would be eternally grateful. My parents have never been rich in monetary value, but the richest in life, love, and family.
