I just wanted to let you all know how much I do appreciate your love and support in the group on a daily basis.  I am grateful and blessed to have such a fantastic group of  members. When I started this with a few people in the group I never expected it to grow in 4 years what it is today.   I want you to know a bit about my story. I am human. I craft, I teach, I love, I hurt and sometimes I need.

Many of you know  I was a care taker for my Mom & Mother in law and Grandfather and lost a Brother  to glioblastoma in the midst of all the chaos of life.  I gave up crafting and my job  to care for family. It’s what you do. Then I needed to get back into crafting, a love  and dream I gave up for the love of family needs.  The crafting &  the group was a way to bring joy back into my life after such great loss.  I don’t regret it. It’s one of the best things I have ever done for  myself and for others. I am grateful and blessed.

I started out in what was a bedroom, turned office, then turned craft room. I outgrew it faster than the blink of an eye. Now it’s back to an office, since I cant get the desk out of there in one piece. Once I remove it  I will regain my 2nd bedroom again. I moved my craft room into to what was a dining room that had a couple more feet and no desk. I had used it as care room, dining room, bedroom, and now it is my current crafting room. It is a great space but it was never big enough for video equipment, crafting equipment, materials, supplies, etc.

To do recorded videos or larger projects I have to break out all the photo equipment shoot and then put it back this takes up a ton of time in which I should be designing or creating. It just isn’t efficient. It does hinder me from shooting some videos for you, simply because once I do get it set up, I don’t have room to move  around  and shoot the project.

I do have a large unfinished space upstairs.  Due to life circumstances I was dealt it has never been finished  for anything even after 13 years of trying.

My dream is to turn that area into a craft and video studio. I thought this is the year! Then 2020  & the Covid thing happened! Once again thru life’s chaos, layoff’s and unemployments my dreams are yet on hold once again. I know it’s been really hard on everyone this year. I  do get it. While some of you do shop my links many do not,  and thats ok. It is pennies on the dollar but it does add up over time.  It helps with  supplies and testing costs, website for supporter files, email manager and  behind the scenes things, including giveaways on a good month of commissions.   It’s important to me that you know, I am the average person, like you.  I am not rich and I don’t make a ton of money doing this. I often pay out of pocket. Many months I don’t even make $200.00 a week this year I am happy if I make $50.00 a week. I am grateful for every penny. I want you to know am not supplied any machines or materials from any company, not one.  I am not paid to make any videos. I pay for everything out of pocket just like you.  I do this so you can avoid losing materials experimenting  and trying things that won’t or don’t work as intended. I do it because I love to teach and watch you guys grow in your crafting. I always give you my honest opinions about products and devices, even if it hurts my pocket and stops a sale. I rather be honest about a product than to make a few pennies. I will always tell you if  I am paid for a video or if a product was given to me. I don’t  usually appear on camera because the background of messy craft area is distracting for me and viewers, I tried and got tons of negative feedback on the channel, which I found  depressing and hurtful. I want to change that! I want you to see me, not the mess behind me!

I don’t have any  employees, house keepers, crafting assistants to do anything for me. Other than the mods and admins that help in the group, they are volunteers. I  shoot, edit, design, cut make samples for photos for upcoming videos, thumbnails, etc. It is literally a one woman show in my home with a great moderator team online.    We do all this In addition to our daily normal household routines because we love what we do.

What I am asking from you is very hard for me to do. I don’t like asking for help, even when I know I need it. Ironic that I run help group, right?  I have pondered on this for  some time now. I was reminded by someone  “If you don’t ask for help, how is anyone  going to know that you need help?”

So now, I am asking for help. If you are reading this and  you can help me achieve my  dream space of my craft & video studio,  please contribute. I want  to do so much more  for you and I know with a little help I can bring you better  videos and projects in the future.

As little as 1.00 towards the construction project & finishes can help. I never underestimate the  power of people in large numbers, we can make this happen. If you cant give anything please don’t feel obligated or uncomfortable. That is not my goal or intention.  I want everyone to enjoy the group no matter what.

If the funds  are raised and my dream is fulfilled, any overage funds raised will be donated into group giveaways, and/or charities of the group members choosing. I will run a poll of  reputable  charities and the  majority vote will decide.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for your love, your support and your generosity.  I am truly grateful & blessed to have you as a part of my life. - April C
