CRACK COCAINE ADDICTION CAN HAPPEN

HEROIN AND CRACK COCAINE ADDICTION CAN HAPPEN TO YOU OR YOU

Take a walk with me, please.

We meet a good friend of mine sitting on a bench. He looks very unhappy. I ask him; “what’s up”? He tells me he’s out of ideas, energy, and hope. His wife of more 36 than years can’t sleep because their child has once again relapsed into the grasp of drug abuse.

After dozens of programs, some at low cost and others at a high cost to the family finances their son has been ejected from his last rehabilitation program down in North Carolina. He had been there for almost a year participating in one of the highest recognized drug programs in the United States. My good friend found out his son’s status after seeing him for the first time in a year during Thanksgiving.

Now, please imagine for a moment that you are the friend I was talking to on that bench. It’s your older child we were hearing about. You have spent many frustrating years trying to do the right thing as a parent. Year after emotional year riding the roller coast ride with the ups and downs of having your child suffer the pains addiction to heroin and crack cocaine offers. You have lost your home due to your mounting debt. Although you are now in your 60’s the thoughts of retirement only n unattainable dream and you are working 7-days a week to keep your head above water. Insurance does not cover any of Nick's treatments. What would you do???

I’m a close friend of Dean and Maryanne Theodos and I’m asking you to help offer Dean and his family a bit of hope and support. Nick is now in the hospital and has been excepted into a medication program @ $3000 per month. Dean is at the end of his rope. Maybe, with your help, we can give the Theodo’s a one month or more break from the wolf at the door.

Note:

The photo above was taken while Dean and Maryanne visited Nick for the first time in almost a hear. Their trip was wonderful. Four days later they learned that Nick spent four days on the street pretty much on a crack cocaine binge and was found on Sunday by one of his friends, he was taken to the hospital where he has been since going through detox and in withdrawl.
