My Fight for Justice

Donation protected
Hi

My name is Kelly Boulter and I am an Australian who lives in Western Australia.  In 2014, whilst travelling alone in Europe I became the victim of an horrific crime that resulted in me living on the streets of Europe fighting to stay alive for 7 months.  The criminal who abused and tortured me has not been charged and I have been fighting for justice ever since.  He is an Australian citizen.

It was suppose to be the trip of a lifetime that I had worked hard for.  When I was in Italy, out of the kindness and compassion of my heart, I helped an Australian man so that he could eat and not sleep on the streets.

During those 7 months I was repeatedly sexually and physically abused, frequently threatened and intimidated to force my co-operation (including with a gun that was held to my head), held against my will, and mentally tortured.  My credit card was stolen and I was forced to live like a homeless person fending for myself: I slept on the streets of Europe and often went days without eating.  I was forced to beg on the streets and sell my belongings for money so I could eat.  I lived in fear of my life and fought to stay alive.  I was alone in Europe and didn’t know anyone who could help me; my family was far away back in Australia.  He threatened to kill me if I went to the police.

Because of the severe abuse and torture during these 7 months, I had a nervous breakdown and came close to killing myself in Europe.

$120,000, my car and all my other items of value were stolen.  When I returned home I was penniless, destitute and in a very bad way suffering badly from the abuse and torture I had experienced on a daily basis.

It’s been an uphill battle for me to get justice and to try to stop him hurting anyone else.  As the crimes were committed in Europe, the local police and AFP cannot help me.  It is further complicated by the fact that I was forced to move between France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Despite this, I have kept going and filed 2 witness statements with the Dutch police.  I have filed a witness statement with the German police and made reports to Interpol and various other law enforcement agencies.  I have also posted on facebook and the internet to warn other people about these dangerous criminals.

I have had many dark days and moments where I have wanted to give in and end it all.  I have been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of the trauma but have supported myself when I am able to by cleaning houses.   I have struggled every day to cope with the horrific abuse as well as fight for justice and have felt overwhelmed by it all especially as I have received little help.  Since being home, I have also been physically and indecently assaulted, been on the streets twice and lived in a woman’s shelter for 6 weeks.  Because of the PTSD I have socially isolated myself and find it difficult to be around people; I no longer have any family support or close friends.

I am asking for help to be able to get long term treatment for PTSD, depression and anxiety as I have had no money to afford any treatment.

I also want to take legal action against this convicted criminal which will involve going back to Europe to meet with European police to convince them to start investigating these crimes.  This criminal is dangerous and a threat to anyone he comes across and I am committed to putting him in prison where he cannot hurt anyone else.

Recently, I was successful in getting my story on 60 minutes (I was not paid for my story) and exposing this criminal on national tv.

Whatever you can spare, no amount is too little, and every little bit helps.  Sharing on Facebook also helps me.

I thank you for your help from the bottom of my heart.
