Meghan's College Expenses

Hi, my name is Meghan. I am 19 years old and attending California University of Pennsylvania this coming fall stuying Commercial Music Technology. Music has been my primary focus of study for the past 13 years, starting with classical piano and eventually going on to learn multiple other instruments and genres. I hope to one day have my own band as well as become a noteable producer/audio engineer, and college is my first step towards that goal.
As everybody knows (and most have experienced), college is expensive. Not only just tuition, but books, supplies, and general cost of living also adds up. I was very fortunate to be offered a few scholarships and grants from my school, but the grand total is still very high.My parents and I are maxed out for money, and there are still a few key components I need in order to succeed at college, namely textbooks and a laptop.
The top recommended laptop for my degree program is a MacBook Pro, which on average costs approximately $1,500. I leave for college on the 21st of August, so I am hoping to at least make a significant dent in that price between now and then. Anything helps, no donation goes unappreciated. Helping me reach this goal is sigificant enough on its own, and from the bottom of my heart I thank you.
As a thank you to anyone who donates I will be doing a free concert at the Praxeum in Portsmouth NH starting at 3 PM. The address is 40 Dover St, Portsmouth, NH 03801. For those who would like to come but cannot make it, I will also be doing a livestream of the show on My Facebook Profile. I'm also planning on releasing a live recording of the show as an album on My Bandcamp Page a week later.
