Cancer Support

My sister Julie is an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.  She never puts herself first, always helping others.  I thought now would be a time that we could give back and help her.

Julie’s unfortunate journey started with what was believed to be a small cancerous lump in her breast that turned out to be larger than thought and had spread to her lymph nodes.  She has struggled with complications of infection, blood clots, and severe dehydration ending her up in the hospital.  The doctors recently found a spot on her lung and after further testing found out that it is active cancer.  She is now uncertain with the outcome until she sees the Thoracic Surgeon next Thursday.  Julie has completed her first round of Chemo and is currently going through 6 ½ weeks of Radiation. 

Julie has had to miss many days of work going to numerous appointments and being sick from medication and treatments.  Insurance only covers a percentage of medical bills.  The financial hardship is certainly weighing on her and Tracy, another stress they don’t not need but they would never let you know or ask for help.

During this challenging time Julie has been blessed with an incredible extended network of family and friends, giving strength and hope through their love, support, and prayer.   I am reaching out to those friends and family and asking if you feel moved to help Julie not have the added stress of finances and medical bills to please go to GOFundMe and give whatever you feel you can.  Every little bit helps!  I set up an account in Julie’s name which will allow her to pull the money out when needed.  I have donated to a friend in need on GoFundMe; it is a safe site and easy to donate.  If you cannot afford to donate at this time extra prayers are appreciated!
