Support Those Affected by COVID -19 in Wolaita, Ethiopia
The COVID – 19 pandemic has posed an enormous challenge to the health and economies of wealthy nations such as the US. But what this pandemic is doing to fellow human beings in economically under-resourced African nations such as Ethiopia is devastating, most especially to the youth, the elderly and low-income families. Our not-for profit charity is collecting donations (tax deductible) for one of the most challenged regions in Ethiopia where millions of people who used to make a living by doing various kinds of daily-wage work and vulnerable small businesses such as “petty trade/street vendors are gathered in crowded homes because much of the country’s economic activities are shut down due the pandemic. We ask for your support any way you can.
Funds will be used:
1. To provide support to the elderly who are isolated by the pandemic and are in dire need of financial support for such basic needs as food
2. To provide food and shelter support to ‘street children’ and the homeless youth, who are the most exposed section of the society and who are falling through the cracks even further during this pandemic
3. For medical supplies including PPE to be donated to healthcare facilities in the Wolaita region that provide COVID related health services such as testing, quarantine, care, etc.
No amount is too small, and a dollar, two, five, ten could go a long way in easing a whole family’s life!

ወቅታዊ ጥሪ ለወላይታ ተወላጆችና ወዳጆች በሙሉ
በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ታላቅ ቀውስ እያስከተለ የሚገኘው የኮቪድ 19 ኮሮና ቫይረስ ሥርጭት ኃያላን አገራትንና መንግሥታትን ሁሉ እያናጋ የሚገኝ ከመሆኑ አንጻር የአገራችን የኢትዮጵያም ሆነ የትውልድ አካባቢያችን ከፍተኛ ስጋት እየሆነ መጥቶአል። በተለይም የአካባቢያችን ማኅበረሰብ የሚገኝበት ኢኮኖሚያዊ ሁኔታና ማኅበራዊ ጥግግት ለወረርሽኙ አሉታዊ ሚና ሊጫወት የሚችል ከመሆኑ አንጻር በልዩ ትኩረት ቅድመ መከላከያ ጥንቃቄና ዝግጅት መደረግ ያለበት መሆኑ ግልጽ ነው።
በአሁኑ ወቅት የኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት አስቸኳይ ጊዜያዊ አዋጅ በማውጣት የሕዝብን ከቦታ ቦታ ተንቀሳቅሶ የመሥራት ዕድል በመገደቡ በቀን ሥራ የሚተዳደሩ ኑሮአቸው ከእጅ ወደ አፍ የሆነ ዝቅተኛ ገቢ ያላቸው ነዋሪዎች፣ ጧሪ የሌላቸው አዛውንቶች፣ ረዳት በማጣት ኑሮአቸውን ጎዳና ላይ ያደረጉ ልጆች ከጤናው ሥጋት በተጨማሪ ለከፍተኛ የኑሮ ቀውስ እንደሚጋለጡ እሙን ነው። ሁኔታው ሊያስከትል ለሚችለው ማኅበራዊና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ቀውስ የዞኑ መንግሥትና በአካባቢው የሚንቀሳቀሱ በጎ አድራጊ ድርጅቶች እያደረጉ ያለውን ጥረት ለመደገፍና ለወረርሽኙ መከላከያ የሚሆኑ ቁሳቁሶችን ለማቅረብም ሆነ ለአደጋው የተጋለጡ ወገኖችን ለማቋቋም የተቻለንን ለማድረግ ይህንን የድጋፍ ጥሪ እናደርጋለን።
