Cpl Larry D Harris Scholarship Fund

Ashley, myself, and number of close friends and family are requesting your support for a very special cause as we raise funds to establish a memorial scholarship in memory of Corporal Larry D. Harris. This year an ever growing team of runners will raise money and run in support of Team Larry in the 2018 United States Marine Corps Marathon which takes place on October in Washington, D.C.  We will be running this race in dedication to Larry, who was a Marine which I had the honor and privilege to serve alongside who was killed in support of combat operations in Garmsir District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan on July 1st, 2010 and was subsequently awarded the Congressional Silver Star posthumously for his bravery and heroic action in combat. The memorial scholarship we are attempting to establish will be facilitated and supported by the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation has been honoring Marines by educating their children for over 55 years, awarding over $110,000,000 in scholarships since 1962 to over 37,000 scholarship recipients. We have currently set of raising $10,000 in order to establish and sustain the Corporal Larry D. Harris Memorial Scholarship, and ask for your support in achieving this objective.
